Members of the Bathurst Stamp, Coin, Collectables and Lapidary Club take great delight in passing on their wealth of knowledge to the youth of the region.
They are well-known for running school holiday workshops and their involvement in the community.
However, following a significant increase in club membership in recent times, club members are finding they have outgrown the space needed at their Eglinton clubrooms.
Well, that has all changed thanks to funding from the NSW Government.
Mr Toole said the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Community Fund (SCCF) provided the club with $67,000 for extensions to the clubrooms in Park Street.
“The expansion for the club is now complete and will allow the club’s members to deliver the popular lapidary workshops and various special events to more people because previously they were severely hampered by the limited space they had to work in,” he said.
“This funding has resulted in a totally new fit out of the interior with storage space, including work benches and the extra machines needed for everyone who visits the club.”
