COFFEE CART COMPLETE FOR LIONS CLUB

A new coffee van is up and running in Bathurst curtesy of the Mt Panorama Lions Club. The new van fit for brewing coffee was funded by a $20,000 NSW Government Community Building Partnership grant which assisted in the purchase of the van.

Member for Bathurst said the new van will help the Lions with their fund raising.

“Community Building Partnership grants such as this for the Lions Club are all about helping local organisations with projects that will better the community,” Mr Toole said.

“They are aimed at initiatives that deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes while also promoting community participation, inclusion and cohesion.”

“The Lions Club are strong contributors to our community raising vital funds to benefit Bathurst's schools, hospitals, parks, aged care and community projects. This coffee van will allow them to continue to raise funds for the community.”

When testing out the new van, Mount Panorama Lions Club members said the new van was just perfect.

“The club has been aiming for the van purchase for a very long time and this grant made our goal a reality,” they said.

“The coffee van will be used at local events like the Bathurst Farmers Markets as a funds raiser so that we can continue helping the community however we can.”
