Three new probationary constables have commenced duties in Chifley Police District after they attested at a formal ceremony at the Goulburn Police Academy last week.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole congratulated the newest recruits at Bathurst Police Station and welcomed the new police officers to the Bathurst Electorate in their first days of working.

“The students of Class 357 have committed themselves to eight months of training at the Police Academy and should be acknowledged for their achievements,” Mr Toole said.

“Our current police officers across the state will welcome the new probationary constables over the coming weeks as they join the beat in regional, rural and metro communities.

Of the three new recruits in the local area, one will be stationed at each of the following stations: Bathurst, Lithgow and Cowra.

Class 357 comprised of 222 new probationary constables from all ages, backgrounds and regions across the state and country.
